In collaboration with UC San Diego Extension, the California Collaborative for Educational Excellence is offering a series of free courses. Anyone completing a course will receive a digital badge (micro-credential) and a certificate of completion. You DO NOT need to pay to participate in a course to receive the certificate and badge, however, fees apply for those looking to receive a transcript with salary-scale applicable credit from UC San Diego.

Teaching Online Essentials provides practitioners with fundamental strategies and proven tools to support online delivery of lessons and projects. Teaching Online Essentials is built upon a solid foundation of best practices in pedagogy and differentiating instruction online and can be used with any learning platform in both synchronous and asynchronous environments.

The switch to distance learning has challenges for all students, but none more than our most vulnerable students – those who are learning English, grappling with a disability, and/or navigating a home life in transition. These students have lost physical access to many of the supports they need. Learn how to best meet their needs in distance and blended environments.
